Applicable framework

This policy sets out how the personal data of visitors to this site is collected, used and protected, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since 1 September 2023, and, to the extent that it applies, with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.

Contact form

The contact form collects three pieces of information: name, email address and message. All three are needed in order to reply. Nothing else is asked for.

That information is used only to handle the enquiry and follow it up. It is never sold, passed on, or used for advertising.

The form carries two invisible anti-spam measures: a hidden field that must stay empty, and a measure of how long the form took to fill in. Neither is stored.

Legal basis: steps taken prior to entering into a contract under art. 6 para. 1 let. b GDPR, lawful processing under art. 6 FADP.

Message delivery

Messages sent from the form are delivered by Resend, Inc., in the United States, which processes the name, email address and message content for the sole purpose of delivering the email. https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., in the United States. Technical data is recorded automatically in the server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamp. It serves the security and correct operation of the site. https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy

Legal basis: legitimate interest under art. 6 para. 1 let. f GDPR.

Video delivery

The videos on this site are hosted and delivered by Mux, Inc., in the United States. When a video plays, the IP address and technical connection data are sent to Mux so the stream can be delivered.

The video player is configured to set no cookies, and playback analytics are not enabled. https://www.mux.com/privacy

Audience measurement

This site uses no audience measurement tool, no advertising cookie and no third-party tracker. There is no Google Analytics and no social network pixel.

No consent banner is shown, because there is no processing that requires consent.

Typefaces

The typefaces used are served from the site's own servers. No request is made to an external service when they load, and no data reaches a font provider.

Data recipients

Data may be passed to the following providers, acting as processors:

Resend, Inc.: email delivery Vercel Inc.: site hosting Mux, Inc.: video hosting and delivery

No personal data is sold or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

Transfers abroad

All three providers are established in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards provided by law, in particular the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, backed up by the standard contractual clauses under art. 16 para. 2 let. d FADP and art. 46 para. 2 let. c GDPR.

Retention periods

Contact form: as long as needed to handle the enquiry, and at most twelve months after the last exchange. Server logs: three days.

Beyond those periods the data is deleted. Nothing else is kept.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Appropriate technical and organisational measures protect the data against unauthorised access, loss and alteration.

Automated decisions

No automated decision-making and no profiling take place within the meaning of art. 22 GDPR.

Your rights

Anyone concerned has the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port their data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

In Switzerland those rights follow from art. 25, 28, 30 and 32 FADP. In the European Union they follow from art. 15 to 21 GDPR.
